These were a Kitset radio. I have the chassis of one coming in. Being of home construction and with a lack of information, one can only assume things to "not be right".

I suspect that originally it may have been related to the Metropolis four Reflex. (AORSM's).

That had 6A8 (Pentagrid... Octode) 6G8 6V6 and 5Y3. The chassis & some parts look early fourties? They may be recycled?

Currenly it has ECH35 converter (Triode Hexode) and EBF33 (similar to 6B8) Then we have what looks like a 6M5 in a rough hole cut only for it ( 9pin) then 6X4.

There would not be room for a 6V6 on the chassis.

I have not had a chance to look for a 5V winding and the AGC is apparently not working (funny that)

The whole circuit of Metropolis is a worry. Even at 180V a 40mA choke would cook, or the power transformer. A 6V6 unless wound back will draw more than that?

Any feed back re the existance of such a combination welcome

Marc
