Hi all,

Can anyone assist me with finding an extension shaft for a tone control I have for an old wirelss. I am also looking for some dial cord too if possible.

am based in Melbourne,

I have seen these advertised at some ridiculous prices.

You have a choice of a one piece unit or a socket that takes a piece of 1/4" rod.

The latter is the most adaptable, especially with radio's like the Breville I have on the service bench. It has very long shafts and the volume pot had to be replaced.

RS components has some pots with long shafts.
They have sockets (solid shaft coupling 509-793)
WES components did have dial string?
Apart from trade outlets, Hobby shop may have the 1/4" rod.

I make my own, as required. Lathes do have their uses.

There is a seller on Ebay who has lots of dial cord ranging from 100 Meter Rolls to just 10 feet!
