Hi all,

I am looking for info on where I can purchase replacment Jockey wheels (I think that's what they are called) for BSR changers.

The wheel is a ruberised wheel that sits between the motor spindle and turntable platter,

Can anyone assist? I have heard they are available, but dont know where to start looking.

Cheers
Scotty

I don't know anybody in Oz, but this guy in Minnesota rebuilds idler wheels:

I also read recently where somebody used an ultrasonic cleaning bath to rejuvenate one that had gone completely hard.

I can often find stuff, but what I don't know would fill a library!

If you are a member of the HRSA, you have access to their valve bank and there's a fair chance that each of those will be in stock.

Also, if you can attend HRSA meetings, there are usually guys down the back selling tested re-cycled valves and other good stuff, like capacitors, wire, speaker grille cloth, etc.

Apart from that somebody here may respond, and there's eBay where valves are always being listed, or if you are prepared to pay new old stock prices, there are places like EVATCO and

http://www.pecparts.com/valvesatpec.html.

And then there's the various vintage radio spares sites in the USA ...

Cheers, I'll see how I go, also, would you happen to have the circuit diagram for an STC A5251 - 1 radiogram - the valve line up is from it. Am looking to find out how the speaker is wired. It appears to have been fiddled with.
