Hello collectors.
is there anyone out there in collectorland that would be interested in a ferris console TV receiver vintage between 1956 and 1960.it has a tethered remote control which has been severed but can be rejoined and I do not know if the TV unit works or not because it does not turn on.cosmetically it is in good condition as it belonged to one of the ferris brothers. the unit is on castors and seems to glide along the floor.i also have some channel master rabbit ears antennaes from the same period some new in their original boxes and the original box in which they were sent with the postage stamp on it from 1960- from ellenville new york in the u.s.att mr.ferris.i also have the schematics for this model TV and the smaller models and a channel master matv manual in very good condition.if I need to include some photos I would need some advice as to how to put them on this forum page.kind regards from frank.

It sounds like an important set to preserve if it was actually one of the Ferris brothers personal sets.

I'll ask around and see if anyone in the Sydney area is interested.

If you could arrange some pictures they would be very interesting to see.

^ Will have to wait for Brad to fix that link so that it's compatible with his software.

No mistake made, as such. The Flickr links don't work without modification because the . symbol is blocked here to help stop spam robots harvesting e-mail addresses from the forums. If you look closely you'll see an image of an . rather than the normal text version.

I have got around this for the next version of this website due at some stage though for now I will just fix the issue by hand when I read the posts. Smile

Why Flickr use the . symbol in their querystrings I will never know. I don't think any other site does¿!¿!¿ Shock

Hi Frank, Thanks for taking the time to organise the photos. They are very helpful as there is very little information on the Ferris TV models.

It is certainly an unusual TV and deserves to be preserved, hopefully you and Blingbling can come to an arrangement.
