I am looking to acquire a Quad (British Manufacturer) FM valve radio.; designations are usually FM1 or FM2. There are a few for sale on Ebay ocasionally, but located in UK and postage costs are more than the unit cost.
Don't care about the cosmetic appearance; I'm really only interested in the 'innards'.

Mention of Quad reminded me that I owned a second-hand Quad stereo amp in the 70's (can't recall the model number). It was stolen when my house was burgled. I couldn't afford the electrostatic speakers.

Good luck with your search.

GTC,

I bought a Quad system (AM radio, PreAmp and Power Amp) in early 70's and made my own speakers. The sysytem is transistor based and still going strong after refurbrecapping etc.. I have acquired a couple of valve AM Quad radios, one of which is now operating properly, and wish to add an FM valve radio to complete the system.
