Hi all

I am chasing down some 15pf caps for a little project that I am planning to undertake. It is a valve FM receiver. I have built one using a modern Plastic variable capacitor but it doesn't work that well and have been told to get an old metal one.

They were available from DS in the mid 80s but now cant be found here in Aust as far as I know.

If anyone has any of these or knows a good place to get them it would be of great help.

Thanks

Daniel

Valve radios, They just don't make them like they used to

Sorry, I commented last night without reading the title properly. The closest I could find to what you would need at these. They don't have the value you need but maybe it is possible to increase resistance or inductance as appropriate.

If you definitely need an older one with the porcellain base it'd be best to wreck one off an old tuning condenser or out of an RF coil - some of these had trimmer caps instead of ferrite slugs.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

Hi All

If anyone has an old transistor amp with a tuner, these depending on age had metal gangs around the right level.

I went junk shopping yesterday and the items I found are too good to destroy!

All I am after is the gang!

Thanks

Daniel
