Hi, I need a transformer for the above model radio. The transformer may not be from this radio of course , a similar transformer would suffice.

Please refer to the link for photos. The measurements are 78 X 57mm with a laminated core height of 48mm. The pitch on the mounting bolts is 44 X 62mm. It has a 240V primary, the secondary is centre tapped and the output either side of the tap is 246v when in circuit The filament winding is 6.3v.

Thanks for any help Smile

Have you got a photo of the radio itself. I have severel chassis from a 5140 that may suit? Can you compare circuits?

Hi Redxm, the 5140/5150 is the double box clock/radio model, mine is the 'waterfall' model.

I did one recently but I can't remember what the transformer looked like Sad

The voltages on the A5140 are similar to mine with the B+ only 5 volts higher. I can't find a photo of the tranny of a 5140

David
I will grab a chassis later in the week and measure the transformer for it, we might be lucky

Thanks Ben, I have a gentleman near me who has the exact transformer, he is going to test it and if it's ok I can use it. I will update here when I know the outcome.

Hi Ben, the transformer above has tested okay and I will pick it up tomorrow. Thank you for your kind offer and help.

Cheers, David
