I have approximately 7.5 KG of components consisting of 1000's of resistors, 1 watt, 0.5 watt, quarter watt and one eighth watt, electrolytic caps, polly caps, diodes etc. I would prefer to swapthem for an early Aussie transistor radio or maybe a valve battery portable in clean repairable condition. I will try and get Brad to upload a photo.
If anyone is interested my email is open contact me and I will give you my phone number. I can send a photo. These are unsorted and jumbled up.
If someone wants to make an offer that is ok I know they no longer have any commercial value. Thinking in terms of $25.00 plus postage.
Regards Jimb.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

That's right. I bought up some new old stock deceased estate. I received it all jumbled up. I have taken what I may need and there is no point in hoarding the rest. It would take another lifetime to use it all. There is no commercial value in it due to the changes in technology. However very useful for the hobbyists.
Regards Jimb

Yeah, I have never seen that many Resistors and Caps in my life.
You see, I'm only involved in about 3 chassis per year and that takes up most of the year! But thats excellent find for somebody,
Fun just digging through it !
Pete

Hi Pete.
I am surprised there has been no interest in it.
Apart from what I salvaged, I gave a friend a box full out of it and there is still that lot left!
Maybe now the photos are uploaded, thanks again to Brad. Some interest may be sparked.
Regards Jimb.

I am surprised there has been no interest in it.

I'm not. Boxes of components such as that appear regularly at HRSA auctions and usually go for less than $5 or are simply given away, if there are any takers.

Most of us who work on stuff regularly keep stock of what we need. Resistors are cheap and plentiful. Sorting though a jumble of them just isn't worth the effort and ending up with a hundred or more of one value -- as tends to be the case with these bulk lots -- isn't ideal either.

The other components tend to be bought as and when needed.

Hello GTC.
Yes you are right. The postage could be a killer also depending on where they live.
So make any offer, give me your post code. I will calculate the postage and we will go from there.
At the end of the day I just want to get rid of them. I was thinking of a swap, but the reality is these are worth virtually zero. So let the offers start. No offence will be taken I would like someone to have them that can use them.
So come on have a go forum members this could be your lucky day!!
Thank you GTC for the reality check we all need one every so often.
Regards Jimb

Hi all.
The above goodies have found a new home with Tinkera 123.
I am sure they will keep him tinkering for quite a while.
Regards Jimb.

I was seriously thinking about getting those components, should I? or shouldn't I? - however I'm glad they've found a new home.

I even have an Australian transistor radio here that mostly works that you could have had. One day I'll put it in the "For Sale" forum for free. Keep an eye on it.
