I require an element for my Weller TCP-1 24 Volt 2A soldering iron. I can't find a supplier.
Any help appreciated.

I find that hard to believe? Many Industrial suppliers have them, as do Radio Parts Group. If they have them they have a source.

The Weller part number is TC208. It's a discontinued product:

I manged to buy one 4 years ago in England, but the seller wouldn't ship to Oz so I had a friend buy it and on-forward it to me.

There's one on eBay at the moment in USA but, as usual, the shipping is a killer:

Mouser has 3 left:

Possibly time to consider a new iron. These days I mainly use my Goot RX-802AS station. I have a few old 'burners' for the heavy stuff.

Some elements do last I have one iron with interchangeable elements. The big one tripped the RCD recently and one of three elements has failed. I bought it in1968.

My Weller TC208 element lasted from 1971 to 2014, but I accidentally left the iron switched for a week and it burned out. I considered tossing it, but chased up a replacement element for nostalgic reasons. It's still a good iron for other than very fine work.

Thanks for your help folks.
May have to invest in another. It is a shame it was a quality item.
