Several of my console radios need the lead from the chassis to the speaker replaced.

For many of these it's a 4 core cable

What is the consensus for replacing the cable?

Do I just use 4 core PVC and put up with it?
Can I buy 4 core 'cotton covered' cable - where??? {I looked and cant find any}
Do I buy some of the cotton sleeving that is available and 'hide' the PVC
4 individually cotton covered wires twisted together?

I know that it's not visible, but what is current "best practice"

but I'm fairly sure someone local sells multi-core, too, just can't recall who at the minute.
