Um, I live in the bush in VIC, so, I can't hook up a long wire ant. and listen to 2CA ----or SW--- or any AM radio signal whatsoever?
Instead, I have to have my computer feeding this "radio"?

Are you sure this is Iconic?

Need more info on the long wire issue. I can see large hills around you & I am familiar with Ballarat's hills as we flew a very new Grumman through the gap in them following a rail line & the big green road signs. It was raining & there was 7000 feet of cloud above us.
You are a fair distance from Canberra but I can get Sydney & Adelaide (at night) from Wangaratta. WA is a problem. I am in a rural position close to Granite hills to the West & the Sydney signal has to cross the great divide.

There are ways to get a Longwire to couple to a ferrite rod & Loops do work.

Ron, a job well done mate on the new style radios, and I for one will be purchasing more than one of these iconic creations. You took an enormous punt on this industry Ron, pouring 10's of 1,000s of dollars into vintage radio. These sets are for he ''appreciating public'' and with this you have my full support in getting these coloured wonders under the noses of all whom would require one.
You chose a good set to make them from, the Tasma was a very big seller in its time, no reason why this new age Tasma cannot follow suit. There are very very few of us Ron that put our very financial well being into creating products and or the the remaking of the actual sets, so that radio will never die.

What a professional job Ron you have done - and isn't it hard trying to rope the overseas producers into making exactly the level of quality and the perfection in product as to what you require! (i know,) I go through it every month producing A grade goods for the ungrateful.
Ron, your product upon viewing its number one mate and you have done this ''the true Aussie way'' you put your heart and sole into it, you followed what you believe in - and that old mate'' deserves the highest commendation.

Ron, you can put 2 aside for me mate a Red one and the Green version when they are in, I have also several customers whom are keen on these new age Tasma's .

A great achievement with the new age Tasma's mate - congratulations I take my hat off to you!

No problems with 2CA reaching here on LW ant. Canberra is due north from here, Ballarat is NE.
Signals pour in after sunset from QLD. NSW. and TAS.

LW ant. is 64 metres, runs N-S. A 34 metre LW running E-W pulls in W.A.

Back to the Digital Radios, I just saw the pictures, very pretty, real sparklers, hope the venture goes well Ron.

With the Coms receiver that runs with an antenna matcher. The previous dwelling had a 66ft LW on the workshop & 50m for the coms receiver.
I have not as yet re-organised the LW that I previously used, now that I rebuilt & have moved back to the old location. That one is a LW "V" 2 x 70m. on power line insulators. One must be careful, there is such a thing as too long and it will attenuate if it is.
