I have an old HMV model 456 that was given to me. It is in poor condition and far beyond my skill set to revive. I don't want to add it to landfill and would love for somebody to take it off my hands for free. The only problem is that I am in Dubbo and this is not an item to be posted.
I will hold on to it for as long as necessary but need to get rid of it as soon as possible. If you know of anybody coming out this way I will hang on to it and they can pick it up.

Yes it is a nice radio....some veneering needs to be replaced and the electronics/chassis are in need of a good clean etc. Speaker cone is 50% destroyed but should be fixable as the voice coil is still functional.

It has had some repairs done a long time ago but looks in very good nick under the chassis.

I love wood cabinet radios and thanks to Mark for the radio, he also donated a Radiola 563 clock radio. Both of these will be brought back to life barring any major components that are not available.

Thanks once again Mark.

No problem Clive, I'm just glad they went to a good home. I'm sorry I missed you when you collected them. If any thing else comes along I'll let you know. I hate seeing old valve stuff chucked.
I have a dream of having an all valve, albeit, low powered, set up for my band. We use old 5 watt amps for guitar but I'd also like to use an old AWA or Philips pa for the vocals. It would be a cool set up for small gigs. If you hear of any going cheap let me know. I know enough to get those working, I just don't understand the radio side of things.

Sorry for the late reply.
Mark
