I have two National Panasonic transistor radios dating I suppose to the 1960s. Both are new, unused and in original packaging complete with instruction slips and accessories such as earpieces.
One is a Panasonic 8 R-807 (has MW and shortwave bands) in leather case still has plastic covering dial and controls etc. It is in original box which is unmarked which is in turn covered by a slip cover, which has a couple of small tears. The radio is of course in Mint condition.
It is unknown if it works as it has never been tried. would suppose it does.

The other radio is a smaller pocket National Panasonic pocket radio R-118 model. All the above comments apply to this one as well( ie brand new in original box still wrapped in protective plastic). This one does not have slip cover over box which is still largely unmarked.

Was going to attempt to seel them on eBay but notr sure what to ask. can someone help me or maybe if interested make me an offer? While not very interesting radios, I believe they have value in the fact that they are still unused after 40-50 years. Would have added a picture or two if I knew how but pics available on request.

A very unusual addition for someone's collection I reckon.

I also have a Coca Cola promotional fm scanning radio which is in original packaging with headphones. This is one o the ones that were shaped like a jukebox and also double as a little torch.
I'm sure someone out there can help me.
Thanks

Hi I'm hoping you might still have the smaller radio available the pocket R-118. I would be happy to pay around the $40 mark.

Hi Koala
Do you by any chance still have the R-807 still up for sale?

Kind regards Storyman

After more than three years I think its safe to assume he's knocked the idea on the head.

Just what I was thinking... I wouldn't bother replying to an ad over six months old, as the item would've almost definitely changed hands since then.

Yep, only one post from Koala and yes, I do need to have one more crack at the post count! I have some time off work coming up and may do that then.

I do need to have one more crack at the post count!

If that proves too difficult, given the forum's current data structure, then the date of last posting or last login on members' profiles would be a reasonable alternative.

In the past when I have tried to fix the postcount it has reproduced the same problem - when I post it seems to behave but when certain others (not everyone else, just some) post a comment the postcount script adds a postcount for everyone.

It will be easy to sort out everyone's postcount once the problem vanishes, a script written in VB.NET will zero everyone's postcount, calculate the correct count and then record it for each member in their account settings - all done in about half a second. The trick is working out what the bug is. A few I have shown the postcount script to in the past say it should work perfectly.

Sometimes it is a mere single-character typo that ruins a programmer's whole day. For me to nail it though, I have to be in the right frame of mind otherwise I am just looking at what I've looked at before.
