TV Collector,

The only set I'm particularly interested in are the 12" Philips and the PYE, though I'll have to check around to see if I can arrange to get them. If not (which is highly likely), then you can have them.

Cheers,

Chris

TV Collector, you can have them. A friend of mine (a lot closer to home) has a couple of old 1970's tellys and an 80's Commodore computer monitor.

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks Chris for letting me know. I'll be picking up the TV's tomorrow.

I'm glad you were able to find something closer to home. Once you start letting people know you are looking for old TV's and keep an eye out for them, you will be surprised at how quickly the TV's start to turn up!

Hi all.
My Tellys are now gone - thanks TV Collector. There are still some mainly Euro radios to be had. I was meant to take some pics today but haven't gotten around to it. Please stand by.
Cheers

TV Collector, you'll have to let me know how the television restoration for that Philips and PYE goes... Wink
I was given a very nice 1980's THOMSON Telecontrol TS-3652 by my grandparents. Colour too, a pretty nice television.

The Commodore computer monitors were monochrome green (phosphor P1) weren't they?

Just as a side note, lets please keep all those who have lost their homes to the fire, and those threatened, in our thoughts and prayers.

Chris

Happy to help take the Tellies off your hands!

The little Philips I'll probably look at first. I'll start a thread about it when I do.

Chris, the Commodore monitor is probably a colour one unless it is very early. Most of the monitors are for the C-64 or Amiga computers both of which were colour computers.
They do make good general purpose video monitors as they take composite video input. So you can use it with a DVD player or VCR etc.

Hi.
The Sansui 6BM8 tube amp/tuner has now been spoken for. Thank you.
I have another generic Japanese 6BM8 amp for sale
There are some European radios on offer. See pics on original post. There are also a couple of consoles, a old BWD CRO and a old 240 to 110 volt step-down transformer. I'll leave them here for another few weeks. If there is no more interest I'll dispose of them on Ebay.
Cheers.

How much for the 240v-110v stepdown transformer? Any idea of shipping costs? I need one for running American stuff on my workbench.

Chris

Hi Chris.
I want about $30 for the item. However, it is bulky & heavy. I can find out shipping costs if you like. I'll take a snap of it and send it to you later on today. Also, I must mention that the transformer is old and untested. It will need a new power cord and to be checked out.
Cheers.
