I have for sale an H G Palmer TV. 21 inch (tube diagonal). (editted 15/8/16).
Last time I used it , it worked ok. It has a "new" tuner (all VHF channels), apart from that and an AV input, it's all original.
Case is good. No missing bits except for some knobs.
In Canberra. 0412 105 608.
Price? probably free.

Any chance of putting up a pic?

If it's 17" it would be a Stromberg Carlson.

"Wake up, Jeff!"

Reading now. Thanks.

I cleaned up the case of the tele. Also found I had left the original tuner inside.

8/8/16. Pictures sent.

So I had one phone call... No takers?

I guess it's not wanted - even though it was working when stored, and will probably go to landfill/recycling.

I will keep some parts, probably valves, maybe the original tuner. Anything else anyone can suggest?

Looks like your photo never showed up.

I'd only get it for the valves and the speaker transformer, and you're a bit far away to get some 6BL8's or whatever. If it had some of the earlier valves such as 16A8, 21A6 etc I'd be much more interested.

Jeff, it'd be a shame to trash that TV.

I might be in Canberra next week, can u hang onto it? Unless someone else wants to give it a good home.

Just confirming that I didn't receive any files for upload and am assuming these have been sent between members.

Hi All.

I sent the pictures on the 8th August (as above). They wre a bit big, but my email didn't say they'd been rejected.
I followed the procedure to post them.
Anyway, I sent one to Ian as well, he identified the set. Maybe he could help describe it?

Yes, I can hang onto it, but I am trying to reduce the amount of "stuff" in my garage.
I have about 16 - 20 bits of assorted electronic equipment from the 50's to the 70's, mainly test stuff but radios, AVO vavle tester, Paton valve tester, frequency counter Nixi stuff etc etc.

I can post a list if anyone's interested. Do we have a place for collections on here?

Jeff

Regarding photos, there's no hard limit on the number of photos that can be included in a post on the Websites and Collections forum. This is to encourage those who've been pondering on whether to display their collection or not to do so.

As I said in my email, it's a KGH set, not a Stromberg Carlson. 21", 110 degree from about 1960.

KG Harris used to specialise in simple, low-end TVs, even using WW2-surplus parts as recently as this. 1st IF amp is an EF50! And there's a 6H6 doing duty in the horizontal AFC. Both 1930's designs.
Original Philips CRT, which stands a fair chance of still being OK.
Line output transformers were vulnerable, KGH used to run them unregulated.

For those who crave "closure", the TV has been collected (by Ian's good partner). All good!

Ian: thank her for me. ... And thanks for the "fluid".
