I have an non-working Astor Plymouth which I purchased untested from a 2nd hand place. I have neither the time or patience to restore so it is up for sale. Fair to good condition, some scratches in the clear finish. All of the valves are there. $150. I am in Albury/Wodonga. I can email a few photos if desired.
Edit 2/7/13. Happy with $100 if anybody interested.

TVs like this are worth $150-200 for a working one, $20-50 for a non working one so yeah...

Nathan, there isn't really a set price for something like this. There are many factors that influence the current value of a television. The value can be affected by the brand, model, condition, age, service history, location etc. etc. etc.
I might be interested in it, but not at that price. It would be best to see some photos first.
Best regards,
Chris

Oh wow, that is a beauty! Maybe $150 is an appropriate price for such a great looking unit! I'll be passing up this one though. I don't have $150 to spare, and I'm after a more conventional console unit (not a low-boy like this).

That's the twin of my Plymouth. I cost me $100 complete but not working. I didn't mind paying that because the set has an unusual and attractive cabinet design.

Was that the set that you rescued from becoming a fish tank?

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the comments. I've brought this down to $100 if that will help give it a worthy home.

$100? Boy, you have my attention now! It's a shame Albury is so darned far away... I live in Wauchope, some 900km away on the coast. Bugger! It's a beautiful set, that's for sure. I hope it goes to a good home.

Style is reminiscent of a cathedral radio - would look good with one on top.

Jeff, what's the little round window to the right of the CRT, below the tuner?

I've never seen a telly with a magic eye but if some were fitted with them then this could be it.
