I'm going to replace the power cord on my AWA Radiola and was wondering whether it makes any difference if I wire the live or the neutral to the switch. It would seem to me to be better to run the neutral through the switch because it might be safer? Is there any convention?

This set has a transformer and is not one of those live chassis sets.

I'll solder the earth lead to the chassis.

Dan

You'd normally switch the Active.

Definitely the Active. The only time Neutral is switched is if it's a double pole switch in which case both Active and Neutral are switched.

Thanks.

Thinking about it, it seems obvious.
