I'm tring to track down some info. on a AWA portable I have inherited. It looks very similar to a AWA model 555p but the model number on the chassis is 679pz it has 6 valves and on the back is a small spring loaded flap that gives you access to plug in the AC main plug.

I would like to know it's age etc. so I can track down a circuit diagram before I start the restoration.

Thanks,

Mark

G'day Mark,

If you have a picture of the receiver you can e-mail it to Brad.mail.vintage-radio.com.au and I will publish it in your post. This will make identification a bit easier for those that may have the information you are after.

Brad.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

Upon closer inspection the model might be 679PZ which would probably make more sense the P standing for portable?
