Hi Folks,

I have some old radio gear that belonged to my late-father which I'm currently disassmbling for any useful parts. I hate throwing stuff in the e-waste!

Anyway, I'm currently trying to disassemble a tuner (I think) however I can't figure out how to remove the condenser. It appears to be a nice one in that it's geared and quite large.

Here are some pics:

How do I remove this thing from the front panel?

Cheers,

Chris

Looks more like a signal generator, Pity to strip it for parts.

The vernier dial is marked in a similar fashion to the BC-221-N Frequency Meter here. the fact it has "Mod" (Modulation) does suggest probably a precision signal generator.

Site is showing "maintenance" & does not want to display pics. Possibly a circlip, or a coupling on the back?

Pehaps one should have consulted HRSA, or posted, to assess it before destroying it all?

Don't pull it to bits. If you have no use for it, I'll buy it, restore it to working condition, and use it.

How much do you want for it? Is there a brand and model number on it?

What other items do you have there?

Thanks.

Agree with the above sentiment: I have several bits dumped from estates, in one case a lot of it has been pulled to bits & parts lost. So most of it is bordering on trash.

The same rules apply here, as does a clearing sale. You advertise it and only chuck out the rubbish no one wanted, after the sale, as what was truly rubbish is what you have left. An intact instrument, or set is likely going to appeal to someone, more so than a box full of possibly incomplete bits.
