I have an Oliver J Nilsen crystal radio, there is a small bar that may have had a wire or spring on it, where could I get the set looked at?

I don't know of anyone that does repair work on crystal sets but if your set is still otherwise complete then you could make a new 'spring', also called a cat's whisker, from some 8 amp fuse wire - wrapping a short length of wire around a chop stick to get it into shape. This cat's whisker goes from the small bar to a piece of coke (or other mineral) and forms the signal diode for your set.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...
