I recently picked up this unit and on first listening it devloped increasing humm as it warmed up plus when using the turntable, after a while the sound quality would start to degrade severely. So I replaced all caps and resistors. It's now as quiet as a mouse and the radio is sounding sensational and will play all day and all night. However, when I switch to gram, or when I plug in another source in the input, after approx. 15minutes of playing, the sound quality still degrades severely. Switching back to radio, and sound is still degraded. However, after turning off for a few minutes, when turn back on the radio is fine and will play beautifully all day long. I'm no electronics wiz and have very limited technical knoweldge, just enough to get me into trouble. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. It is the same model as this one:

Many thanks, Clip

Multisonics had very good sound, mainly thanks to the multiple speakers. Do you have the circuit schematic? If so, let us know the model number.

When you say degraded, do you mean the sound is attenuated or distorted, or both?

This does indeed sound strange considering you have replaced all capacitors . The ones in the power supply also?Does it occur in both left and right channels in the same way? If it does then it may suggest the power supply. I dont have any real idea what it would be, but would suggest the next step in diagnosis would be to measure the voltages both when it is working well and not, also when on radio or gram.
