Gents,
I want to start work on a Philco 37-630B chassis which has been over stamped 37-630EZ.
It was made in USA and has ART&P C label.
Any info on this radio?
Baz
Edit: found the 37-630 manual on my own computer, looks about identical.

If it is US built and the info is not right, its likely in "SAMs", or "Rider"

Is the radio 115 or 240 volts?
Having an ARTS&P sticker (C = 1936) I thought would be unusual for an imported set. Again, does the ARTS&P sticker make reference to Australia or New Zealand?
Philco started making radios in Australia (EMMCO) in 1936 & New Zealand (DRECO) in 1938 (according to Radiomuseum), following the cessation of imports from the US. I suspect this radio could be US made for the NZ market.

I would have thought that if it was imported then royalties etc. would have been payed in the place of origin, however, there is the question of import duties an who administered them?
If it was via ARTS&P then that proffers one explanation, but needs exploration.
EMMCO circuits are hard to come by & the only "Troubador" that I have attacked, was one I had to reverse engineer and draw a circuit for, to analyse, as I could see it had been played with & looked wrong: Was.
If the circuit diagram is hard to read I do like to trace its rails with coloured pencils. It can be handy to put the pinouts on the valve elements.
One step further is to put coloured texta on the valve pins if they are visible red plate; blue screen; black cathode;

I have a complete radio and a spare chassis, both 240v.
Both have a blue ARTS&P with year C, and both made in USA. No shadow meters.
I have an offer of an EMMCO, restored and working well for $300, I didn't realise it was a Philco. have been looking for info on it.

EMMCO: Electric Meter Manufacturing Co was a big concern. They made radio parts, telephone parts, washing machines, car alternators ................
And they did production runs of several brands of sets. A bit like AWA who made other branded stuff.
They did apparently assemble some Philips stuff & Philco is, I believe, American Philips.
