I am currently working in an HMV 64-52 radio with a 6AN7 converter. It is original as the wiring is untouched and the valve layout diagram in the cabinet shows a 6AN7.
Both Kevin Chants excellent site and Radiomuseum.org only show circuits with a 6BE6 converter.
Would anyone have a circuit of the 6AN7 variant, please?
Harold

I don't have a copy of the schematic for a 64 type chassis with a 6AN7.
What I do have is the user booklet which came with the 64, and this shows the converter as a 6AN7.
The chassis type 65 has the same valve line-up as a 64 with the 6AN7, though the circuit, especially around the output stage is different.
The 64 with the 6AN7 may be a later version and you could compare it with the 65, or at least the area around the converter.

Thanks, Kent, for the user manual and to Monochrome for the suggestions around the 65 chassis.
I have printed out the manual and it will be a nice addition to the radio. The 6AN7 circuit is almost identical in the 64 and 65 and I am happy to report the radio is now making beautiful music! Just a cabinet wash and scrub of the knobs to go.

Thanks for posting. Never seen one of those!

How did you come by it?
