Strung his customers along?

Smile

I believe these things are good RFI generators.

Can understand RFI close to a TV No way a transmitter say 50Km away could compete if it's a sub multiple of its frequency.

"Stringing" is a common term, for over servicing when there is actually nothing wrong with the person, or the thing keeps breaking down due to not being fixed properly & it keeps breaking, continuously costing money to not fix it.

Yes, I'm familiar with the term "to string a person along" hence my appreciation of the pun in this context.

Goes over the head of most of the young ones.

Those things have a resonator on the end of what will be nothing less than a feeder cable, virtually the same as any other transmitter.

Are we missing something here? Is that string actually coax & the resonator is missing? More info needed methinks.

QUOTE: 27MHz diathermy gear

I see the frequency spec'ed is 27.12MHz, which is close to the American CB band channel 14. CB is full of noise sources (mostly kids with CB rigs with "power mics") so this machine isn't likely to RFI anything of significance... Smile

Might want to modulate it & use it for a "woodpecker". That would upset the little blighters.

Nothing like a good front end meltdown to ruin someone's afternoon. Grin

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...
