Marc's description matches my trimmers/padder. I'll keep looking for that 120 mark when daylight returns and I finish replacing the electrolytics.

In this case, dial markings are not much use because the heavy glass dial plate is normally mounted on the (missing) cabinet, while the cursor is behind it, on the chassis of course. I have the glass, unmounted. I'll make a scan of it and print it out as a template that can be taped behind the cursor while I do the alignment.

Once the alignment is fixed, I can make final cursor position adjustment if necessary. The important thing is the spacing.

That mark may be on the dial as the comment in the paperwork points out that the cursor can be moved on the dial cordage later.

123L has two lines on the dial which are calibration points. The dial tracking viz where the stations are at each end of the dial relates to how you set the padder etc.
