Hey Guys
Just Purchased a Philips Radioplayer 4462 and restoring it and came across these red things. I have no idea what they are, according to the circuit diagram they are 100MMFD capacitors and I would just like conformation that this is indeed what they are and if they are capacitors what type are they and what should they be replaced with.

Thanks Stephen

They are indeed capacitors, most likely ceramic - you would find a glassy material under the red coating. That said, they are probably the least likely capacitors to need replacing unless you can see that they have actually broken. They are a very robust type of capacitor.

The mmFd rating is more commonly written as pf (picofarad) these days in catalogs. If replacing, make sure you choose a high-voltage type.
