Whilst camping recently and using the '94 was in a poor signal area with a certain amount of vibrator hash bleeding through in the background. The 94 gets its power from a three outlet cigarette lighter socket arrangement and when I plugged in a battery charger for another device was surprised to hear the the hash disappear.

This indicated a bit more filtering on the battery power line was in order.

After some experimentation with different electrolydic capacitors settled upon a 80μF electro connected at the 12 volt input and the negative to chassis resulted in almost eliminating vibrator hash.

Suspect stray hash was leaking back down the 12v power lead and being re radiated through the vehicle's wiring.

Referring to the circuit diagram the electro is put across the junction of C24/C25 /L7 and chassis.
