Hey all recently bought a 11-20 soccerball radio that I am trying to salvage. On its front it has its valve line up:
ECH35
6AD8
6X5GT
And a unknown my guess is that it is a 6V6GT but looking through service manuals I cannot find any model with the 6
AD8 Valve in it.

If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated. Do not want to put the incorrect valve in there.
Thanks
Stephen

According to the entry in Radiomuseum the lineup for the 11-20 of 1951 is ECH35, 6AD8, 6V6GT and 6X5GT, but there were numerous versions of the 11-20 over the years.

My data shows variant models with 6B8G or 6G8G in lieu of 6AD8, and EL33A or 6AG6G or 6M5 or 6V6GT as the power valve.

The variant is listed in AORSM's but not with the circuit showing it. That should be easy if you have the valve pinout.

6V6 will not be unlikely however, the cathode resistor will be the give away if it is an octal socket & not a minature.

EL33A will have a lower resistor as is has a grid bias around -6.5V and for the same current without transformer change -15V (approx 350R)

Just serviced a 11-7 & have been through a similar exercise.
