Have a vintage laminated Power Transformer here that I bought for my research but unable to identify the wires.
This is one of the mid blue alloy case types and is marked '1805A'.
Measures 100mm W x120mm H x 90mm D.
Has four wires coming from what I take to be the Primary side with two wrapped together and two loose.
Little stumped here as I don't understand why the four wires as they appear to have all been used.

Secondary also has two wires wrapped which are the HT and a 3rd wire for the Centre Tap.
Four more wires which I take to be Heater and/or Lamp supplies that measure about 15 ohms and one of these is O/C.

If anybody can assist it would be most appreciated.
Went through what I had of the Trimax, Ferguson and A&R transformers but did not see it there.

Always feel more comfortable if I know what I am working with else will use the Variac on low power with an ELCB and see what we get.
Thanks.

Smokey

Maybe the open connection wire connects to an internal electrostatic shield between possibly the mains primary and the secondaries?

Possibly a 120/240 volt primary, with the two windings in series for 240 volt operation.
