You can sometimes get a visual ID of a model that is too late for AORSM (ie post-54) by searching the National Library's "Trove" online archive of digitised newspapers and magazines - selecting "advertising" as the material of interest.

Hotpoints of that period are exclusively re-badged AWA models with only minor cosmetic differences, so an AWA model of the same year is likely to have the same chassis. I found that my '56-model Hotpoint had its own model number but used exactly the same chassis as a '55 model - only some case detail had been updated.
