Hi Brad ,

I think the main reason I don't have a valve tester is because there's not many available at a reasonable price.

Instead of building one what about restoring one at a good price,

I have a Hickok 532 that needs some TLC ,i purchased it to repair it but since have bought restored ones.I have some working emission testers also.I don't think I paid much for them and would let them go cheap , if anybody is interested.

Regards
Vic.

RTV & H did describe a valve & transistor tester in the January 1961 issue, starting page 56. I would imagine the transformer would cost quite a bit to have wound....... I could email the snaps to you if you likeSmile
John.
