I have recently acquired a HMV radiogram although I am unable to locate any information or wervice manuals.
All I have is a few numbers: The cabinet is HMV and the electrical components have the following numbers:
Model No 525 15948
C25369.
Can anyone assist

I don't have anything for a model 525 as such. Let us know the valve line-up in it and we may be able to get close.

Thanks for the info. I will have the administrator attach relevant photos however the valve numbers are:
6CU6, 6M5, SC278A AND 6K8GT

James,
If I receive the photos today they should be up by 20:00 or so.
GTC,

I'll be at Sofala this weekend, I reckon it'll be colder. Because of the deep valley that town lies in it's about 09:30 before the direct sunlight hits. The campfire will be a biggie though.

That line-up combination as given has me stumped. Most of the references I can find to 6CU5 are American televisions and I can't find any mention of SC278A.
Apart from those things, there doesn't seem to be any rectifier valve. Photos of the chassis and under-chassis would be helpful.
What is the operational status of the radiogram? (Note: if you haven't already powered it up, please don't in case you cause avoidable damage.)

This is a guess as I am not in front of the chassis though I believe the valve pictured at top left in the third photo is incorrect. It's proximity to the transformer and that it doesn't have a cap wire is a bit of a give away.
This is most likely where the rectifier valve should be.

Okay, now that we can see the chassis, I'm inclined to go with my initial thought that those are probably not the correct valves for that set, with the possible exception of the one enclosed in the goat shield.
I think we might have to try to identify the model by the cabinet although there's no guarantee that the chassis and the cabinet are an original pair.
And, I reiterate do not power up the set in that condition.
PS: You say radiogram. Where is the gramophone bit? It may be the photo's perspective but there doesn't seem to be room for one above the chassis as seen through the opening where the dial would sit. Does the top hinge?

It is just a radio. The cabinet does not have a top hinge area for a turntable assembly.
It appears that someone has built this from spare parts.
The only reference I can find to the SC278A is from the US. Apparently manufactured betweeon 1940-45 for the US Navy
