I've got a dogbone resistor that appears to have gone. I'm guessing from the markings that it's a 1M ohm resistor. The markings are:

brown body
black at one end (tip)
two green dots

manufacturer ohiohm

Can anyone confirm if I'm right?

What wattage and type would be the best replacement?

How to read old style resistors:

* The body colour is the first digit. (brown = 1)
* The next digit is the left hand end colour (black = 0)
* The spot in the middle of the body is the multiplier (green = 5 zeros)
* The right hand end colour is the tolerance: silver, gold, etc.

So 1,000,000 = 1 Meg.

Probably 1 watt, but go bigger if you want to and there's room for it.
