Chaps, I've picked up a burn dept portable model 192 its a dc set that just has 6 wires for the battery I know by googling, the power supply is 2 volts/108volts but I do not know where 6 wires go can anyone give me a clue or a circuit for this model please regards ron

I can't find any information on a model 192.

If I saw 6 power wires on a battery set my first guess would be a pair each for A, B and C batteries.

In any case, there ought to be be a pair for the filaments (A supply) and a pair for the B+ which will find its way to the anodes. Following them through the chassis should determine one which is which.

(Always found Burndept a funny name. Sounds like the place where you send failed prototypes to be incinerated.)

Follow up..ive worked out the filaments now I've got 4 different coloured wires if 2 are the 108volt wires what would be the c voltage ?if thats correct?, and yes I agree burn dept does make you think its a giant incinerator, but the top of the set has a loverly marbled empire state type panel..

For me at least, without a schematic it's purely conjecture. Tell us the valve line-up in the set, and we might be able to work out the C battery spec.

Any chance of your emailing Brad a good photo or two of the model 192?

EDIT: you say 192, but do you mean to say 292?
