Hi,

I am new to the antique scene, but I recently acquired a Kriesler Multi Sonic 6 Radiogram (along with a Kriesler 25 Super F TV).

To my surprise, both the radio and the turntable work perfectly. I have even hooked my ipod up to the system and I like the sound better than my modern stereo system.

I only have two issues with the unit:

1. The on/off switch does not work and as such the unit is always on - I have to switch it off at the power point. Can anyone indicate whether this is an easy fix or not? Do I need to take it to a professional or can I do this myself?

2. The finish on the cabinet is in great condition except for one or two deep scratches on the lid? Does anyone know a matching stain for the Kriesler cabinets - this cabinet is the dark chocolate coloured stain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Perry

It should be straight forward , but a photo of it (from the inside of chassis), would give us an indication.

Does it turn left & right to operate, or is it a pull type

If you cannot work out how to get at it, then you need to not be doing it..

Marc
