This site used to have what is known as a favourites icon but I took it down about two years ago because it was low-res and didn't suit the site after its last reconstruction.

I'm yet to decide on the logo for VR5 (still a bit of a pipedream) but once that decision is made I will sort something out.

In the meantime everyone would need to try icon customisation with their own images.

I have seen a model with three 6N8's and two of them were duds.....an that did not come as any surprise, using it as phase splitter did.

6BO7? 6BQ7 would be odd it's a twin triode.

6X5 is the rectifier
6M5 is the output Pentode
6N8 is normally RF and has detector diodes, remote cut off pentode
6AN7 is a good pentagrid converter
6BH5 is a Remote cut off RF pentode

Now is it possible it's a 6BD7, AFhigh Mu Triode with two diodes. (Detector AF amp) 9Pin

There is nothing to say that all the valves are correct. Do we get aphoto of the chassis?

Marc

Indeed, and it's sounding increasingly like the ones in situ are incorrect for the set described.
