The first picture is of the broken green component with a red dot on it. Does anyone know what it is?
The second picture is of a possible battery holder, it is wide enough for a C cell but long enough for a D cell.
The third picture bottom left shows the cover for the possible battery holder.
The last picture shows the external battery connections, one of which is paralleled with the possible battery holder.

Regards.

The green component is a resistor of fairly ancient construction.

Administrator Brad, can you please delete posts 18, 19, 20 and 23 for me?
It would not display my post so I left. Next time it still would not display my post after trying several times so I edited my last visible post.
Today I discovered PAGE 2!

Sorry for the mistake.

No worries Little Nipper. At this point in time deleting isn't an option as I haven't had a chance to enable it on the new forum page but it'll come soon enough. Smile
