Just wondering if anyone is familiar with a Hotpoint Clock Radio - "AM" band only. looks like it might be 50's/60s, I'm fairly sure the case is plastic (red and white). The clock is an AGE movement. The model number is P64MFQ (or PG4MFQ) as far as I can tell. It's missing the knobs, and I'd like to get some - anyone recommend a supplier for such stuff? Cheers

Dear Greenhart,

A chap called Steve may be able to assist - savell.com.bigpond.com - he has lots and lots of radio knobs and wants to sell the lot.

Brad.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

Your Hotpoint is a P64ME/Q, (P6 series, 4 valve, Mantel, Electric, with Clock).
The P64ME/C was released in 1953.
and became the P64ME/Q in 1955-56 when a ferrite rod aerial coil was included.
They were produced by AWA for AGE Hotpoint, and are equivalent to the AWA nmodels 461MA and 469MA respectively. The Clock mechanism was by Smiths Ind. (UK). The small clock knobs are all different according to their functions, but are the same on all the AWA and Hotpoint Clock Radios, including the 5 valve variants 563MA & P65ME/C, P65ME/Q.
There are some members in the Radio Societies who make reoplacement knobs for radios, maybe someone has made clock knobs as they are often missing.

Does anyone know who would have gears to replace the worm drive gear & the one it drives as a pair as found on the 469MA induction motor?
Have a mint 469MA externally & electrically, it's only failing is the clock.
Have tried local watch makers although genuine ones of these are hard to find, but to no avail.....
