Received my 2nd Healing, and this one was well packed. It could survive being rolled down a flight of stairs, what you need do to pack stuff to ship, at least in the USA!

Anyway, between the first one (with broken cabinet) but fully functional chassis (I did have to mess with the dial cord system to get it to not hang) I have a nice radio. Though the grill cloth is a bit ragged, but that's for another day.

I had to use sticky goo remover (Goo Gone) on the metal rail where the dial pointer slides on. And to get some friction back on the control knob rubber wheel. PITA.

Oh, and there's an RF or IF transformer below the chassis deck that was physically floating loose in both radios, but I spotted a wooden round mount on the chassis that it belongs to. So some hot melt glue, and it's now back in place.

The radio.

Nice looking set!

I don't think we have Goo Gone here. I use 100% acetone for the sticky stuff.

If you saw how contractor post office truck drivers here handle parcels you'll appreciate why the need to pad stuff up.

Where I collect my mail I often see them loading and unloading from the rear of the post office, out of sight of the public, and they just toss the stuff around like footballs.

"Though the grill cloth is a bit ragged, but that's for another day"

Today was the day. I was able to remove the plastic set of bars from the cabinet front (those "speed nuts" were fairly easy to remove by gently rotating them back and forth while pulling up). And some hot melt glue to reattach the grillcloth, ragged ends hidden behind the plastic bars. The ragged areas were at the edges, so I was able to reuse the original cloth.

Had intermittant trouble with the socket for the 6U7G IF amp tube, but after a cleaning of thesocket pins with a needle file it seems fine now. And added a grounding wire for the 6V6 tube socket (pin 1, was not connected to anything) so I can use a metal 6V6 I have (so the metal casing is now grounded).

Also installed a 240VAC 60Hz outlet (American made Aussie style pin pattern) in the hall for this radio which now sits atop a short bookcase.
