Hi All,

Am fixing up 2 old transistorised HMV record players from the 1960's. I am in need of 2 replacement speakers - one for each unit.

Both are oval shaped speakers made by EMI and are 170mm x 100mm in size. 1 is 47ohm, and the other 27ohm.

Happy to replace them or get them re-coiled

Can anyone help .....

Thanks
Scott

There is a person somewhere in Queensland that can re-cone speakers. He isn't listed in the yellow pages (Radio Waves) any more, but someone out there up in Queensland may be able to help. check out their website http://www.hws.org.au/ and see if you can contact one of those members!

I've got a spare EMI speaker that size, but it's 15 ohm, from an HMV Monaco.

I think the member that Flakes was referring to is Clyde Ford who is now retired. One of my customers has used http://www.totalrecoil.com.au/ and they were quite happy with them.
