Back on July 13 '10 I started a thread on a NZ STC model 5031 which seemed rare or not released in OZ.

I recently bought another STC on " Trade Me "and when it arrived I was surprised to find that although the cabinet was different the chassis was identical to the earlier set,
and was apparently very close to it in the production run.

It'll be interesting to see if any more turn up !

Hello Sandbar40,
I too have aquired a stc 5031 mantel radio chassis No 1098.
It has the same valve list as your first radio but it also has a magic eye. Have yet to restore but looks to be in good condition. I am looking for a schematic, can you help?
Regards,
Frank.

The original poster may not come back. In the meantime, if you use Control Panel to unhide your email address, I'll send you the schematic and notes.

Metalworker,

Now that Brad has re-uploaded the pictures and I can see the valve line-up, the schematic that I have for STC Model 5031 5/6 Tri-wave with Magic Eye does not match that shown in the photos.

I have 80, 6D6, 6A7, 6D6, 6B7, 42, 6G5 -- a line-up common to many STC models of the years 1936/37.

I'd like to be able to see the entire round green sticker that ends with the words "in the dominion of New Zealand".

GTC, I will post some pictures in the next day or two, including round green label.
