Good evening all, I am attempting to repair a transistor radio for a friend. this radio has an 80 ohm, center tapped voice coil. The coil itself is shorted. Is there a workaround to replace the speaker. bowler

Hi Bowler,
I have made a similar repair to a B33 utilising a centre tapped output transformer from a similar era transistor radio and then connecting a standard speaker.

Altronics part number M0216 is what you need.
