Hi All, Further to my post Re the above radio. With the help from the replies on the Forum I managed to get it going. However it does have a problem in the station selection. I can only receive three stations in the higher band (such as 4BH). I have realigned the radio and tried to tweak the oscillator coil, but still cant get any more stations. Is there something I am missing. bowler

Does it cut out suddenly as you go down-band or slowly?

Accompanied by crackles as you move the tuning?

You may just have a short between the tuning gang plates, either on the oscillator or the antenna section.

An ohm-meter will tell you quick smart.

If you do, then the edge of a credit card is a good way to gently straighten them.

It has all of the manifestations of a gang with a bent rotor plate (usually outer) and being full of grot & perhaps oxide lumps.
