Hello all,
Have just acquired one of these for a repair project.
I am chasing any information regarding this radio, in particular the schematic.
Have tried Kevin Chant, but he advised that whilst it is in the 1947 AORSM, he has not scanned this manual yet and did not advise when he might do it.
Can anyone else help or point me to another source, willing to pay.
Kind regards
Lloyd

Regarding the 740, can someone help me with the 'loudspeaker' symbol please? Is it an electrostatic transducer?

If that has been taken from an AORSM then it'll be on the following page.

Sorry for the late intrusion here!! My 'brain' clicked into gear when I saw this original post about "Tecnico Aristocrat"!! I've recently received an old/rare(?) 1948 Model 859 battery radio, I've not had the time/health to work on yet! I'll supply more details in a NEW post shortly. I'm in the same boat regarding actual schematics etc. It's one hell of an ugly duckling on the outside, but the inside is beautiful.

A new and detailed post will be following. Hope you all have a great day!!

I have one of those! In quite nice condition except for the rubber insulated wiring, most of which needed replacing.
It's an amazingly strong performer! Picked up NZ stations on it one night, while camping, well away from the QRM.
The dial drive is currently slipping, it's on the list of things to fix.
This model was rushed into production at the end of WW2 with the minimum of tooling. The case fabric is war surplus plane seat covering!
I have the schematic, I think it came from Kevin's site.

To Ian Robertson. (To others though, I WILL start a NEW post about this, sorry......)
Wow!, I'm so happy to hear that, about this Radio!! Yes, the outer body of 'mine' is disgusting, and I intend to re-fabricate the 'cloth' entirely. And I'm re-making the indented plastic Dial-Face in a way that 'David Tipton' (youtube) had shown once. I'm still amazed at the condition of the Interior!!!!. My NEW post will show/explain a LOT more. Thank you for the inspiration to continue with it mate!
