 Procedure to replace the 3.3Volt cable in the Scope Iron.

I forgot the process to replace the wiring in the scope iron, it's been many years. I have replaced tip and the carbon section and removed the barrel, but for the life of me can't remember how to remove the rest of the the iron. I haven't been able to find anything on the net.
