I have worked on a couple of these radios, however the one I have now has a 6U7G in the valve lineup. Has anyone come across ,and if so could they supply me with a circuit diagram. Bowler

5A26 does not have a 6U7 5A16 does see if you can actually clarify what it is?

Here are the 5A16/26 set line-ups:

5A15 Mantel 5Y3G 6J8G 6U7G 6B6G 6V6GT
5A16 Console 5Y3G 6J8G 6U7G 6B6G 6V6GT
5A26 Console 5Y3G 6J8G 6G8G 6B6G 6V6G

Schematics for both are on Radiomuseum. Don't have to be a member -- anyone can download 1 or 2 schematics -- just follow the instructions.

Sure, but my guess is that most people here don't have access to those.

Sure, but the casual restorers -- those who come on here asking for schematics -- will be reluctant to fork out $100 for those discs when schematics for lots of the common models are on Radiomusem and/or Kevin Chant's site.

All that is usually required is to help them find those.

I am aware of Kevin's site & have made a few contributions to it, especially when its a set where the HRSA & others including me have not been able to find info & I have ended up reverse engineering it and sending him (& I think I sent HRSA at least one for an STC chassis 59) the AutoCAD drawing of it for the benefit of others that might get landed with one.

However, it is likely no circuit was sent to you as we have to work out what it actually is?

I have one of those discs I wish they could up date it to work on Windows 10.
I know you can make it work if you are a computer guru on Lynx software. However I am not into that stuff. Just a simple old codger!

My disc works happily with Windows 10, the only extra step I have to make is to (in settings) tell the program where the database is.
I have copied the disc to the hard drive and I point to this file.

I have to admit that I set this up when I was a bit younger, I may struggle if I had to do it again!

I am from the Silver Hair group & can run it on several OS

The Linux program is I think linked on HRSA however,

https://www.bing.com/search?q=LinAORSM...

Install.

Make a folder AORSM: Copy into it minimum. Icons, Images, Text, Tiff-Images;

Open the radio button "Lin AORSM" & choose "View" in the pull down window, then "settings";

That will yield yet another window, "Path to AORSM CD Root Directory".

The arrow on the left will give a pull down window where you can select the AORSM folder.

Ok! & it should run.

One day I will honour a commitment I made about fifteen years ago (I think) to copy the AORSMs in full and make each file available here for members to download at will for free. Unfortunately I don't have the time but it is a project I've always been keen on seeing done. A PDF can open up on any computer from Win 95 to the present plus many non-MS systems.

But the annoying thing is that while this is simple enough to do, on Windows 10 and above you have to do it every time you run the program which is a bit of a pain in the tail. For some reason LinAORSM is unable to remember the file locations between runs

I search the details.txt file in the Text folder, that gives me the image name, then search the Images directory for the filename

I also have hard copies of all the manuals (except volume 9)
