Good morning, I have used this iron for many years. The problem I have is the temp gauge began to fluctuate erratically, and the iron stopped heating. Have changed a number of parts but to no avail. Has anybody had similar problems with this iron, and if so is there a workaround to repair same. Bowler

Has the element, or cable perhaps gone open? I have Silicon Rubber cable on a straight out 240V one and it continuously breaks despite being advertised as flexible. Where there is high current or heat, on a printed circuit board, joint cracking is not uncommon.

Marc.
