 EL3G versus 6F6G in Breville 330J

Yes I concur with Carl, I have an HMV which is supposed to have an EL3NG which is identical to and was superseded by the EL33, an EL3 is actually electronically identical to the EL3NG/EL33 but with the European style base. The EL33 is an expensive valve for some reason, I paid over $100 for mine, I have got an EL3 as well as an adapter with an octal base but I didn't have the headroom to fit it!

And the EL3N is a lot cheaper than the EL33!
