Thanks Robbbert wasn't sure what the DC resistance should be.
Marcc, I draw out the circuit by hand on an A3 grid paper then make a copy and reduce it to A4.
Then scan it into my laptop using gscan2pdf software on Ubuntu to generate a PDF file.
I use this to scan in circuits and manuals etc and can create a PDF file for them.

The quickest way to detirmine if the speaker transformer & speaker are working on a valve radio it to crack a 9v transistor battery across the primary. On 6F6 6L6 & 6V6 that's normally pins 3 (anode) & 4 (Screen /g2).

Whilst I do have a 360 column dot matrix printer. The principle scanner is an Epson V800 that is mainly for photo work. If I have to reverse engineer, I start with the Auto CAD as it has everything pre-loaded just for the job. I start by doing a layout of IF cans, transformers, coils etc. exactly where they are on the chassis and print it: Then its a case of play "join the dots."

Once that is accomplished, one translates it into a wiring diagram. During this process you often spot where the Monkey has wired it wrong. Alternatively you give the diagram to someone that knows the circuitry, to see if they can spot any faults? The AutoCAD can save in various ways. Depending on the end use, I can directly import into a word processor as an image, or print from the AutoCAD itself. I can even hold it as an AutoCAD file & send it to a Laser cutter / etcher.

Newsletter for the Radio Club is sent out pdf.

Finally have PDF of circuit I traced out, will send to Brad to add to this post.
The radio had 6B8 fitted in first position have used 6A8 to draw out circuit as was suggested by Marcc.
Used 6V6GT as o/p but could also use 6F6.
Have rechecked the circuit several times for correctness with the radio, would appreciate any comments on its working.

You could use that 6B8G as a spare if the 6G8G carks it.

I only have one question about the schematic, that being in the power supply.

Normally, the choke would connect directly to the filter cap (16μF in this case). Are you sure about the wiring in that area?

Apart from that, it looks good and is easily readable.

Grid 1 6A8, 50K;
16μF /600V to Pin 2, 5Y3 Negative to CT;
150K on the AGC back to signal grid looks low check its not 1.5M;

Voltage CT to chassis should be bias of g1 6V6 chassis positive. 12.5V . 250V plate.

Robbbert
Have rechecked the wiring for the power supply, it's as shown on diagram.
I took lots of photos of each section and as I dismantled the radio to rebuild it.
Marcc
Grid 1 6A8 is 50K, body green, end black, dot orange measures 52K.
150k on AGC should be 750k body violet, end green, dot yellow, but now measures 1.2 M.
Thanks for your input.

"Normally, the choke would connect directly to the filter cap (16μF in this case). "

It is, but through the 5Y3 heater. An unusual way of doing it; the only real disadvantage over connecting it to the 16μF cap might be that more 50 cycle hum might get into the HT from the heater current. The wiring might have been easier to do this way given available connection points, and if the hum level is OK, why not.
