Haven't really escaped that, replaced the head on a tractor last July. Fixing a roof Tuesday (Storm damage); There is an Ignition coil tester on the bench, it also measures capacity, leakage & series resistance. One paper cap in it, 40Meg resistance so it got tossed. Can't have that in a measuring device. Interesting that the others are not that era, half a job. Meter amp is a 6V6.

No circuit. Like another I have seen 3 of from that era it uses a mechanical Vibrator for the Kettering points.
